We feel that while we can tell you all day long what WE love about our barn, we would like to share some testimonials from our clients and business associates!

I have boarded horses in several different states, and many places in the Fort Collins area, and I give High Country a "thumbs up" for their quality of care, quality of hay and general professional, but friendly atmosphere. The staff treats all the horses like their own. They keep an eye on them, too, and with the help of Rito, the resident stable hand, nothing gets missed. They always have plenty of exceptional grass hay, water is monitored, and the stalls are always clean. The lighted outdoor arena is especially great in the warmer months, and the indoor is great for those cold winter days, when you just HAVE to ride! HCS is close to trails, with water crossings-perfect for training a young horse. The clientele are a mixed bag of hunter-jumpers. dressage riders. western riders, trail riders, and those folks who just love to be around horses. Everyone gets along, which is unusual in a multi-purpose horse facility. But what I love best about HCS.              Jan C of Fort Collins    April, 2010

I wanted to thank you so much for all that you did for “Mister” and me in our most recent stay at your wonderful stables. Mister’s individual paddock was perfect for him, always so clean and watered; all that my big boy could ever need.  The trails from the stables provided the miles Mister needed for exercise and training, and for our many joy rides.  The indoor arena was perfect for those days when the thunderstorms came early over the mountains!  I enjoyed so much the people I met there too. Without exception, all were really great “horse people” who obviously loved their animals. I learned a great deal just being around so many great people. High Country Stables is a great place to keep your horse! The facilities are maintained well, the hay quality is exceptional and the staff is attentive and professional. With an indoor and outdoor riding arena - there is always someplace to ride your horse. I’m sure looking forward to seeing you again this coming summer.  Thanks again for everything. See you soon.      Becky T of Texas April, 2010

I bought a mare from one of the trainers at High Country Stables, and I keep her there.  It is a great place to keep your horse because the facilities are very well maintained, the quality of the hay provided is exceptional and the staff is so attentive and professional, always keeping an eye on your horse   There is a heated  indoor arena and  2 outdoor riding arenas, so there is always someplace to ride your horse, and there is trail access too!     Barb H of Fort Collins, CO  April, 2010

Our daughter, attending CSU, has kept her Arab at High Country since last Fall. During visits, we have found the atmosphere relaxed, friendly and not breed specific. As parents, we are comfortable with the daily equine care and general oversight of the facilities.                          Bill W of Alamo, California  April, 2010

I've been keeping my five-year-old thoroughbred mare at High Country Stables for going on a year. The price is so reasonable and the level of care is excellent: high quality hay, stalls and paddocks cleaned regularly, heat in the indoor arena and lots of jumps in the outdoor. Plus it's close to where I live and close to town. My mare and I couldn't be happier.      Lisa Z of Fort Collins, CO   April, 2010

HCS leased a pony from me to see if he was a good fit for their program. Turns out he was, or he was just way too cute to resist, and HCS bought him on a payment plan. All payments were made in a timely manner and HCS has now owned him for 2 years and provided him with a most excellent home .                                      Whitney Applegate     www.rjreininghorses.com   April, 2010

I happily found High Country by accident. My accident prone gelding had gotten a hoof abcess and my current stable didn't understand the need for dry clean stalls for him to heal. The abcess had lasted for a month, and within a week at High Country he was healing!  HCS staff was incredibly understanding of his special needs, were so warm and welcoming too.  I was blown away not only by the care and cleanliness of the barn and grounds, but also of the hay. This is THE BEST quality hay in all of Fort Collins!  When my horse's vet bills kept adding up, (due to his impressive ability at self-harm) exceeding what I could afford, I felt completely comfortable donating him to HCS to hopefully use in their therapeutic riding program. The care they give to all the horses (both those they own and the boarders horses) is heart warming. I know he is in the best hands. Even though I no longer own a horse to board at High Country, I still love to come out. In both English and Western, I can't think of a better facility with better people than High Country!                                           Love to all the wonderful people and critters at my little therapeutic sanctuary!                Kira M of Fort Collins, Colorado   April, 2010

Boarding at High Country Stables is a great choice for me and my Morgan! First of all it is so close to the north end of town where I live. The setting is serene and feels spacious and roomy. The caretaker , Rito, is really wonderful and attentive, therefore the horses are well cared for and looked after. The barn manager lives on site and walks through the property many times a day so again, the horses are being watched closely. The boarders at High Country are all nice and down to earth people, haven’t met a snob yet! The outdoor arena is big and the indoor is good sized too and HEATED for winter riding. There are several trainers working at HC, all great gals and very good at what they do. I know HCS makes getting the best quality hay a priority. This is a barn that welcomes involvement so you can really get into barn life and do as much to help out, or as little, as you like. I find that nice because it feels like you can really make it your place. Also, there is access to riding to the Poudre Trail so for the people w/o a trailer you can still get out and take your horse on an outing. I recommend anyone looking to board a horse to come check it out!!!             Amy W of Fort Collins    April, 2010

I am so lucky to have found High Country! After having some problems at my old barn I was in search of a place that was welcoming and fun, and I knew the first time I set foot on the property that High Country was the place for me. I started riding with a trainer and soon I was looking for my first horse, little did I know that he was right under my nose!  The manager came up with the idea for me to try Miguel, a Thoroughbred gelding that was already being boarded at High Country and I fell in love with him! I am so impressed with the quality of the care that Miguel gets and I know that there are people there looking out for him. I have loved every minute of my time at High Country!      Erin D of Fort Collins, CO  April, 2010
